Melted Mood by Karma Alarm
Making two contrasting albums melt into one band.
For this project, I was given two vinyl albums that had no commonalities. Using only scans from the albums themselves and the words on the albums, I had to create something entirely new.
Michael Franks is a jazz artist with a lady-killer image, and his album One Bad Habit was all about that.
Linda Clifford is a beauty-queen diva with a stronghold in the pop and R&B genres. Her Let Me Be Your Woman album had several hits as well as chart-topping remixes.
From Something Old to Something New
Using the Adobe Creative Suite of products, I created the album Melted Mood by Karma Alarm. The names of the album, band, and song are all mixed anagrams of the names from each album.
The imagery is taken solely from graphic elements that are on the albums, but with a twist.
